Cricket in Madrid? Surprising but very much active and on the cricket scene in Spain our very own MCC - may not be Marylebone and not as well known as other cricket teams on the Peninsular, they have nevertheless established themselves as a solid side in the Spanish Liga and in recent years has grown considerably in strength.
The Lions are a drinking if not sporting legend in Madrid and will match you try by try and pint by pint - or so they claim! They do have a wide membership and can field a decent squad including some ex Spain internationals.
The Britanicos were founded in 1972 and have stablished themselves as a top side in the Madrid Liga, they are also founding members of the Mundialito or "Little World Cup" that is celebrated in Madrid with the patronage and support of the Madrid Government. They can field teams of all abilities for 11 and 7 aside games.
